This, like the other funnel pics, is not actually a photograph, but rather a photogram. Photograms are made by exposing the printing paper directly to light (in this case, the enlarger's lamp), usually with an interesting object to cast an interesting shadow or something, rather than using film and producing a negative to stick in the enlarger. These are, of course, black and white photograms. Someone in a neighbouring class was doing photograms in colour, also with transparent or translucent objects, and they turned out way, way, way cool.
