In the "spirit realms" there are four great cities in these directions. That makes the six threads of the directions of the Web, with yourself at the center, the Point, within and without, "inside out", hyperspace, suspended in Grandmother Spider's web, First Mother Night's matrix of starlight, many points of light connected in the darkness, Indra's Net with its faceted gems.

(Evernight), the Northern City

Far beyond a gap in a hedge is seen a city in the stars, on the Shore of Wonder, where it is ever night and starlight traces bare outlines, made of onyx and black marble, night-gems like lapis and amethyst and rubies red as blood.

Natural sound: The howls and cries of beasts
Life stage: Dying (not the process of death, but the existence thereafter)

Sovereign: Voros (Storm-light), eyes of jet reflecting the night sky, wings of shadow
Other Attributes: Wonder and fear, terrible in both senses, wisdom of the Mighty Dead. "Stone of death crowned in pale fire", stone circle, strong food and drink, feasting, drunkenness, thorny hedge which scratches (blood sacrifice), silver spiderweb.

(Skyspire), the Eastern City

Far beyond two standing stones is seen a city in the center of a vast open plain, under a rose-washed sky, bare dawn, built of warm, creamy-hued stone, with tall spires like torches held against the sky, with a golden sheen and glittering like small diamonds. The green blade which parts like grass, like the phallus - there is life, and delight. The Blue God dances, the Peacock Angel shines, the Morning Star gives us knowledge and craft.

Colours: White with green tinge, light golden yellow

Sovereign: Elinsul (Shining-eyes), Power of the Morning Star, dressed in white-gold, adorned with peacock feathers, with eyes the colour of new green grass under a wide blue sky.
Other Attributes: Cleverness, cunning, trickery, bravery, courage, guile. Crafts, metalwork, "natural magic" or science.

(Foresthome), the Southern City

Far beyond two trees, one flaming and one green, is seen a forest-heart city built of wood and grey stone, copper and tree-gems like amber and jet, shaded and cool, containing caves and deep places as well as sunlit glades and meads. The shining hill crowned with white trees, the lushness of the green world in the summer. The light of the Earth shines forth.

Natural sound: The rustling of leaves

Sovereign: Tanaren (Wood-shade), a "sidhe/elven" noble dressed in the greens of the forest, with highlights of red
Other Attributes: The fertile earth, plenty, stability, fruitfulness, harvesting, the joy of the forest, the heart of the woods that is hearth and home. Forest maze.

(Silverndeep), the Western City

Far beyond two mounds is seen a city perched at the edge of the sea, with fountains and rivers, built of blue and green and grey and clear glass, silver and sea-gems like pearls and coral, ever in twilight just after sunset, and the moonlight beginning to cast things in pale blue. There is love and tranquility in the rocking of the waters, the whispers of the moon.

Colour: Blue-violet
Instrument: Bell, chime
Natural sound: The whispering of the tides
Life stage: Death
Mysteries: Dreaming and wonder
Sovereign: Llyrië (River-song), Power of the Evening Star, an alabaster beauty pale as the moonlight, robed in the deep blue of late twilight, crescent moon on the brow, with a voice of fine music and healing
Other Attributes: The Double Death (moonset/sunset), the twilight deathgate. "Hollow filled with water and fading light", well of Wyrd, crystal castle, dreams, ashes on water.

Since the South is the place of living this life here, and the North is the place of dying that death there, the West is the place of all entries into the Otherworlds, at least while you are here in this realm; and in that realm the place of the portal is the East. East is cunning and craft, West is oneiric and spirits. North is passion and power in the darkness and the majik of the stars, South is singing and dancing in the light and the majik of the greenwood.
